Creative Play vs. Imaginative Play: What's the Difference?
While they may sound similar, creative play focuses on making and expressing — drawing, painting, building, stacking, and experimenting with materials and sounds all fall into the creative category.
Imaginative play, on the other hand, is more focused on role play and imaginary activities, such as running a pretend store, playing house, or turning a jungle gym into a pirate ship. The two may overlap, but our creative play toys are designed to inspire open-ended play.
